When applying for grants for research within medical sciences, the following applies

It is a condition for the application to be considered that both the application and the annexes are sent in 4 copies to the address below by mail and that the Fund receives a short written briefing on the results of the project, in connection with the completion of the project. Bank registration and account numbers to be used for transfer of any grant, the CVR-no. of the research project and email address must be clearly stated on the first page of the application. An application must include a layman's description that must be clear and concise and enable a person without medical education to be able to read and understand the application. Furthermore, the application must contain a time schedule that i.a. includes a specific date for the commencement of the research project. Applicants who do not comply with the requirements above cannot expect to be considered. Grant applications submitted by e-mail cannot be expected to be considered.

Prior to each application deadline, the specific research purposes, which Found’s Board of Directors have decided to support in the next distribution of grants will be announced on this website. Applications, which do not fall within these specific research purposes will not be considered (and will not be considered in later distributions of grants either) and everyone is urged not to submit such applications.

The specific research purposes, which the Fund’s Board of Directors have decided to support in connection with applications for which the latest deadline for application is October 1, 2021 are 1) neurological disorders and 2) lung disorders.

When applying for grants for preferably single women for vacation, recreation, etc. the following applies

It is a condition for the application to be considered that both the application and the attachment are sent in 1 copy to the address below by mail. Registration and account number for transfer of any grant, as well as the applicant's CPR-no. and e-mail address must be clearly stated on the first page of the application and the latest annual statement from the Tax Authorities must be attached. Applicants who do not comply with the above requirements cannot expect to be considered. Grant applications submitted by e-mail cannot be expected to be considered.

No application form is used.

June / July (for April 1 applications) and November/December (for October 1 applications)

  • What is the size of the awarded grants?
  • Answer: The board is free to determine the size of the individual grants, but we can inform that the grants for research within medical science are usually in sizes from DKK 10 - 100,000, while grants for singles, preferably women, for holidays, recreation, etc. usually is at DKK 10,000. On an annual basis, the Fund usually distributes between DKK 0.5 and 1 mil. in grants.
     
  • Can a grant application be sent by e-mail if the applicant, e.g. is staying abroad, has started writing the application too late, has only become aware of the application deadline late or for other reasons is unable to have the application delivered in physical form by the deadline?
  • Answer: No.
     
  • Should a copy of the grant application also be sent by e-mail?
  • Answer: No.
     
  • Can the grant application be delivered by hand?
  • Answer: Yes, it must then be delivered in person to the reception at Homann Advokater, Amagertorv 11, 3rd floor, 1160 Copenhagen K, no later than 3p.m. on the day of the application’s deadline (or on the previous work-day if the application deadline is on a public holiday).
     
  • Will a grant application be considered timely if it is postmarked no later than the date of the application deadline, but it is not received until after the deadline?

  • Answer: No.
     
  • When it is stated that the application for grants for research purposes within medical science must be submitted in 4 copies, does that mean that both the application and appendixes must be submitted in 4 copies?

  • Can the grant application be submitted in English?
